Not Me Monday

YEAH~~ It's Monday and believe it or not, I am at home.......who knew????

Let's get this going. Little Man is on his way to taking a nap and I have MUCH to be blogging about.

I did not sleep in on Saturday morning til almost 9am

I did not eat an entire Bacon, Egg and Cheese biscuit 2 times in one weekend.

I did not drive home from the hospital in the wee hours of Saturday morning in the middle of the snow storm we were having. (Normally takes me about 10 minutes, took me 40+ minutes Saturday morning)

I did not skip posting on here for 3 whole days because I was actually at home spending time with family.

I did not try and get my car out of the parking spot and due to the snow and ice around my tires, could not get out for 2 days.

It's Monday and daycare was closed today, so Little Man and I are at home chillin' out!!!!! Loving every minute!!!!

Not Me Monday

Well it's Monday. So let's get this started. It was VERY strange and VERY busy week.

I did not go and run 2 miles with friends and then proceed to go to the gym with the hubby and work-out for over an hour.

I did not do all of the above mentioned and then go to a birthday party and participate in eating birthday cake.....it was Kaleb's cake so I had to eat it!!!!!!

I did not try to cram so much into one weekend that I feel like I have not sat down in over 3 days.

I did not completely blow all of the workout on Saturday morning by going to a restaurant and eating homemade potato chips with my veggie-burger.....not very smart!!!!

And speaking of the veggie burger......I did not order it with bacon....go figure. I am not a vegetarian but I so can not eat red meat. That is another story for another day.

Not Me Monday

Well it's Monday. Are you happy that it is Monday? I have mixed emotions about it but nevertheless, it is Monday.

I did not challenge some new running friends to join me on a run this weekend.

I did not challenge those friends to go running with me on the coldest morning in Greensboro. It was 17 on my drive over and the weather said the wind-chill was 9.

I did not have a blast running in the cold.

I did not lose my debt card on Saturday morning. I have NEVER done that before. It can make you physically sick.

(This is my hubby's) I did not go to 3 different McDonald's in search of an Alvin the Chipmunk for our 3 year old in the 20 degree weather on Saturday evening. Yes, he came home with one and we are still searching for Alvin.

I did not go to church on Sunday and get my toes stepped all over by the message from our Pastor about our tongues and our speech. I am really thinking about what is coming out of my mouth (and blog) now.

Well, it's off to another week. Welcome to Monday.

Not Me Monday

I DID NOT eat at McDonald's 2 times in one day on Saturday.

I DID NOT try on 3 pairs of pants on Sunday Morning to find out that because of what I did the day before, none of them fit.

I DID NOT do absolutely NOTHING on Sunday afternoon but snooze and watch a little TV.

I DID NOT get in a rush ordering my oldest his business cards and misspell something on the card. (can you find it?)
I also DID NOT forget to sign the UPS drop off slip 2 days in a row so that when we finally had them in our possession, he was already in New York.

I DID NOT in the midst of the flu season and the outbreaks of H1N1 take our 2 year old along with 2 of his friends and their Mom to the Children's Museum and let them play and touch EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!!!

I DID NOT take the youngest to get a haircut and watch him age about 9 months to a year in that 15 minutes. He's growing up WAY to fast!!!!!!

I just love doing these!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I (We) DID NOT got to the fair only Once but TWICE in one week.

I DID NOT actually buy a Funnel Cake sprinkle with powder sugar and proceed to eat over 1/2 of it ALONE!!!!

I DID NOT get just A corn dog but a FOOT LONG CORN DOG.

I DID NOT eat the entire thing, fresh out of the fryer. YUM!!!! What is it about literally fat on a stick makes it sooo very tasty??????

(Now for this small segment of this post of Not Me Monday we have to remember a movie. A movie called Nemo. Think of when Marlin and Dorie had finally made it through the EAC (Eastern Australian Current) and Marlin thinks they are lost and Dorie decided to speak "whale". Now with that in your head....go with me on this.)

I (We) DID NOT go to a Celebration of Life for a dear friend of my husbands and get there a little toward the end to enjoy the food and visit with his family and friends.

I (We) DID NOT sit at the table and proceed to have Kaleb put his hands together and close his eyes so we could say the blessing.

I (We) DID NOT almost fall out of chairs when he proceeded to say parts and words of the blessing in "Great White Whale Dialect" What are you suppose to do?????

Not Me Monday!!!!

We went to the fair this weekend. This is a rather small one but nevertheless it was a blast. Of course there were a lot of Not Me moments. I thought I would share just a few.

I did not force my child to hold his little hand out with animal feed in it for a goat to eat out of. Messy eaters!!!!! Slobber and spit every where. Oh but was it fun!!!!!

Not only did I NOT do it once but I did it again!!!!!!

Then it was off to the rides. I did not PUT him on a ride of motorcycles to go around and around in a circle.

It did not take Daddy and the operator to get him buckled in. He only went around one time and we had to stop because of the tears.

We DID NOT pay $15 for the paper bracelet attached to his ankle for him to go to the fair and play in the water puddle. Could have saved $15 but it was worth every penny to watch him find the biggest puddle he could!!!!!

Not Me Monday

I am soooo glad that McMama is going to do a Not Me Monday today. I love doing these but wasn't sure if I was going to get to or not.
Of course, this weekend was my birthday and I actually made it through the weekend and I only remember shedding tears one time (or maybe 2). It was awesome. Mom and Dad were here and my oldest came and spent the day with me on Saturday. It was just awesome!!!!!!!!!

OK, let's get going!!!!!

I did not go to the gym on Saturday morning and get a work-out according to my oldest child and then proceed to come home and eat a bacon-egg-cheese biscuit from McDonald's.
I did not only eat a slice of birthday cake for lunch.
I did not go to dinner with my husband (by ourselves!!!!!) and watch us split the appetizer and then proceed to eat my entire dinner and on the inside WISHING they had a dessert menu.....what in the world was I thinking????
I did not sit last night with the 2 year old that has now had his first experience with markers and watch him color his toes and toenails red. (Papa taught him to do that while they were here).
I did not actually get nervous about teaching 4 year olds yesterday, afraid I would forget everything. (IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!)

It was a great weekend with lots of fun and lots of looking and shopping. Oh, and I got a new Vera Bradley bag......as my physician-mentor-of-the-doula-world would say, "very granola". It is sooooo pretty. Reds and blacks. LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Not Me Monday's

Well, it is Monday again and of course McMama's website said we could do Not Me Monday or Not My Child Monday.
This is really hard because once again, I could do both.
So here we go.....

I DID NOT go to the bowling alley and for the 3rd week in a row eat a grilled cheese and nachos with cheese and jalapenos. That is SOOOO not part of the fitness challenge I am in the middle of.

I DID NOT go to the bowling alley and use rental shoes.....have you ever considered who may have worn them before you and heaven's, even thought about, what if they forgot to spray them with Lysol......

I DID NOT text my oldest son to tell him how great I was at bowling and then realize that I was reading the wrong column on the score board. I had to re-text him and tell him, I DON"T KNOW WHAT I AM DOING!!!!!!!

I DID NOT proceed to go out to dinner afterwards and eat a huge chicken-steak with french fries and eat every last one on my plate at 9pm......not on my challenge. (This was not the same night as the grilled cheese....)

I DID NOT just die laughing when my husband gave into the little one's request to pull out the sofa sleeper in the front room and watch him lie down on it in just the place where there is no support and he was almost EATEN by the couch!!!!! I laughed hard enough that I was sore the next morning.

DOUBLE POST!!! Not Me and Not My Child!!!!

This is going to be good. I have one on me and then one on my child to.
First.......
I DID NOT get ready to prepare dinner on Saturday morning and decide that I would do a "southern breakfast".
I DID NOT get out the pot to make the grits (we are in NC don't forget).
I DID NOT put the butter in the pot, along with the salt and pepper and even cut up the cheese to.
I DID NOT look in the pantry to get out the grits and NOT find them.
I DID NOT look in the refrigerator.
I DID NOT look in the freezer.
I DID NOT look in EVERY SINGLE CABINET in the kitchen.
I DID NOT have my hubby come and look behind me. I had just opened a package the other week and put them in a storage container. I knew I was NOT losing my mind.
I DID NOT on Saturday afternoon while cleaning up the kitchen, discover the above mentioned grits.
I DID NOT put them in the storage container next to the cream and sugar containers that sit next to the coffee pot.
I DID NOT get to make grits this weekend.

My child DID NOT go in the bathroom with my husband while he was working on the floor in the bathroom.
My Child DID NOT find a pair of plyers laying on the floor in the bathroom.

My Child DID NOT pick them up and decide to play them.
My Child DID NOT figure out a way to pinch his belly hard enough, just on the skin that left him crying.
My Child DID NOT walk around and sit in Mommy and Daddy's lap with his shirt raised as high as it would go and talk about his Diego bandaid with a sea turtle on it.



Nope....NOT MY CHILD!!!!!!!!

****BATHROOM UPDATE........It is almost done. The new floor is down and the toliet is almost finished. Just some finishing touches with molding and some other minor things......the FLOOR IS AWESOME!!!!!!! THANKS SO MUCH TO MY AWESOME AND WONDERFUL AND LOVING HUSBAND!!!!!!! ISN'T IT BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

Not Me Monday!!!

This one could be VERY long but I won't bore you with a lot of details.....HAHAHAHA
Here we go.
I DID NOT allow my little one to have a black fine point pen and a journal.

I DID NOT let him continue to do so while I ran and got the camera so I could have pictures for today.

Oh, and remember last weeks post about our toilet. Yes, the bathroom is STILL CLOSED but we have purchased new flooring.
I DID NOT once again run to get the camera to take the next 2 pictures. They were truly MUST HAVE's for Not Me Monday.

I will keep you posted on the progress of the bathroom. The new floor is going to be AWESOME!!!!!!
