THIS IS THE DAY!!!!!
Yes, it is that time again. That day I don't like and is filled with so much dread. Dread may not be the right word.................. FEAR is the right word. You see, this is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Yes, the month is almost over. I have my appointment this evening to get squished...no, not a typo. I go with a lot of anxiety. I can work myself up into a frenzy. The first time I went, I was changing into the lovely paper top that they give you and almost snuck out the back door.
I always tell all of my clients and my motto has become.....Labor and Delivery is not a place where ignorance is bliss...educate yourself.
This is where what you preach must be done. Talk the talk and walk the walk. The rubber meets the road or breast tissue lays on the cold plate, however you want to look at it. You see, Praise the Lord, my Mom is a Breast Cancer Survivor. Her Mom was a Breast Cancer Survivor. I have watched MANY women who are Breast Cancer Survivors. I have educated myself and maybe know TOO much if that is possible.
I'm going this afternoon and this year I talked 2 friends into going with me. That way I can't back out. Last time I made an appointment, I cancelled it 3 times.....how embarrassing is that???? I have tried a couple of times but the answer was always NOPE!!!!! Gotta do it.
Therefore today at 5:20pm EST, I will be squished. I can do this because He is with me. He will not leave me or forsake me. He gives me the peace that I need and no matter what, I am His and He is mine. He already knows the outcome. PRAISE HIS NAME!!!!!!!
I'll let you know how it goes. Oh, and by the way, if you haven't gone to get your squishing this year....MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT TODAY!!!!!!!!

Not Me Monday
I DID NOT eat at McDonald's 2 times in one day on Saturday.
I DID NOT try on 3 pairs of pants on Sunday Morning to find out that because of what I did the day before, none of them fit.
I DID NOT do absolutely NOTHING on Sunday afternoon but snooze and watch a little TV.
I DID NOT get in a rush ordering my oldest his business cards and misspell something on the card. (can you find it?)
I also DID NOT forget to sign the UPS drop off slip 2 days in a row so that when we finally had them in our possession, he was already in New York.
I also DID NOT forget to sign the UPS drop off slip 2 days in a row so that when we finally had them in our possession, he was already in New York.I DID NOT in the midst of the flu season and the outbreaks of H1N1 take our 2 year old along with 2 of his friends and their Mom to the Children's Museum and let them play and touch EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!!!
I DID NOT take the youngest to get a haircut and watch him age about 9 months to a year in that 15 minutes. He's growing up WAY to fast!!!!!!
Have an awesome Monday!!!!!

Friday Evening.....My heart is heavy
Dear Readers,
Most of you who stop by and read or stop by and just see what is going on over here usually don't leave a comment but I know you have been here because the counter says you have. That is just fine and I soooo don't mind at all.
Tonight as I sit here getting ready for bed and my Little Man is fast asleep in the room just on the other side of the wall, my heart is heavy. You see, I have a friend. Her name is Nikki and her husband is Chad. They have been waiting for the arrival of their precious daughter and second child. Her name is Johanna. Don't you just love that? Johanna was diagnosed with a Genetic Disorder called Trisomy 18 back in April. I am not even sure how I found her blog but we just kind of clicked. I would leave comments on her blog and she would leave them on mine. We have even e-mailed a few times and I made her a bracelet with Johanna's name and a couple of pairs of earrings and sent them to her. She lives just a ways down the road.
This morning was the morning that we had all been praying and waiting for. Today was the day we would all finally meet Johanna. With Trisomy 18, no one knows how long she would be here on this earth before the Lord would take her home to be with Him. Chad and Nikki had made the decision to follow through with this pregnancy no matter what. This was His child. He had chosen Chad and Nikki to care for her no matter how long. This morning, Johanna met her Mom and Dad and family. She was loved on, caressed and cared for. I am sure she was snuggled, kissed and cried over. Every wrinkle, every hair, every dimple, finger and toe counted. Then she went home to be with Jesus. As her grandfather so perfectly put it, "Outwardly, she was perfect. Internally, her condition prevented her from staying with us here. ".
I can not imagine the range of emotions that Chad and Nikki and the family are going through this evening. The tears and the sorrow must be overwhelming. I don't know them that well. Yet, she and Chad are my brother and sister in Christ. Therefore "far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by not praying for you (them)". If you have a moment, would you stop by her blog? You can see the sweet picture of Johanna and the precious picture of those perfect toes that are now walking the streets of gold with our Savior.
Their blog address is www.chadandnikki.blogspot.com . Stop in and just leave a comment. Just let them know that you are praying for them now and in the days ahead. It would mean the world to them.
Thanks so much!!!!!!!
Praying for you,

Here we are again.....Thursday. It's almost the weekend!!!!!! At the same time, the weekend is as busy as the rest of the week so it does not seem to slow down at all. Things have been a little crazy this week and exciting all at the same time.
Kyle, the oldest, left last night about 8pm to ride on a bus with a bunch of other photography students to go to New York, New York. They are all going to a Photo Expo which is totally foreign to me but I love to look at the photographs. He can tell you how they did it, what part of photoshop, what lens, what lighting and the developing and it almost sounds like a different language. Let me tell you though, he has a gift. I could hold the camera and take the same picture and I promise you, it would not even come close to looking the same.
He has been published in 2 printed magazines and at least 3 web-based magazine. He is growing up way to fast for me. This trip kind of happened VERY quick. I mean, like we found out about it last week. Scrambling to get everything ready and done and making sure expenses were covered and that he had what he needed and what seminars he wanted to attend. It was just soooo exciting. At the same time, it is soooo difficult to realize that in a couple of months, he is going to be 21. Twenty-one----WOW, I am feeling old. Yet I have watched him turn into a very handsome young man that has manners and can carry on a conversation with anyone. A young man that his friends trust and will call and talk to if they have a problem. A young man that knows what he wants and is going after it. It's scary sometimes to realize you have to take your hands off and allow them to fail every once in a while to learn how it all works. I'm just soooo proud. He has blessed me beyond belief. At the same time I realize what a gift he is from my Lord. Kyle was His before He was mine and is still His. He has a plan for Kyle and I am so blessed to the Mom that He chose for Kyle. I trust that the Lord has it all planned for him and that he will follow after Him. It's an exciting time in Kyle's life and I am just so blessed to be apart of it. Kyle, love you so much and soooo very proud of you.
Love,
Mom
