I am so glad that you are visiting. My name is Pam Kennedy. I am a Doula, DONA Trained. In other words, I am a Childbirth Coach. I live in Triad Area in North Carolina. I work through Women's Hospital of Greensboro, High Point Regional and Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
I would love for us to get together and talk about how a Doula can make a difference in your Birth-Day experience. We can meet and arrange for you to celebrate the Birth-Day of your new addition. Then, once the big day arrives, we go through your Birth-Day Wish List to make it the Birth-Day that you will never forget. I am there to support you physically, emotionally and mentally.
I also have my Perinatal Fitness Instructor Certification. I am passionate about women being ready for pregnancy and all of the demands that it puts on your body. Being prepared and ready for those challenges is key.
I am also working toward my Childbirth Educator with International Birth and Wellness Project. I am excited to announce that beginning in February 2011 I will be teaching Prepared Childbirth Education through Peaceful Beginnings in Greensboro. I look forward to hearing from you and what your plans, desires and dreams for your little ones Birth-Day.
Please read on to find out more about how beneficial having a Doula can be.
A little more about me......
I am married to a wonderful husband named Bo. I have 3 children. One son that is 22 years old and a daughter that is 19 and my surprise little one of the age of almost 4. I have been in the medical field for over 20 years. I have worked in many different types of offices and currently work in an Ob/Gyn office. I have always had a passion for nursing but never was able to return to school. I found my place when I became a Doula in 2008. It is a passion like nothing else. I am so thankful to my husband when I have to cancel plans, run out in the middle of the night or even change an entire weekend because a little one has chosen to make their arrival. He supports me 100%.
I had one of my very first Mom's that I was a Doula for gave me a nick-name. She gave it and it has stuck. I sign all of my post on blogs and other items with the name. Thank you Meg and Cash. So if you see the signature, Doula Mama Pam, that would be me.
I am currently looking into the possibility of taking some other classes to allow me to be a better Doula, Childbirth Educator and Perinatal Fitness Instructor.
Thank you so much for visiting today. Take a look around. If you have questions, please feel free to ask. You can reach me at motheringthemother08@yahoo.com or at www.motheringthemotherinnc.com
Laboring With You,
