This is the Not Me Post I could not wait to write. I had a Not Me Moment with my Little Man this week that was just priceless. Now you will have to stick with me on this one. No, I did remember this year to take out the giblet package in the middle of the turkey, unlike the first time I ever cooked a whole turkey. Ok, let's get going. There is only ONE Not Me Moment so of course, I had to include the pictures as well.
We get home Wednesday evening from an awesome dinner at my In-laws. We had gone by the grocery store and picked up the last of what I needed to fix for Thanksgiving dinner. We unload the car and I told my hubby that Little Man had to get in the bath. He was busy bringing stuff in from the car so I went in and turned on the bath water. Kaleb likes to hold his hands under the running water while it is filling up. I pulled off his shirt, jeans and socks. Ran to my room to put on my ever so sexy, pj pants and hole-y T-Shirt (that is another post for another day). While I am changing I hear the toilet flush.
I did not hear the dreaded "Oh No" coming from a small voice. I go running down the hall to see Kaleb looking in the toilet with his hand on the lever.
"No, no don't flush it!" I calmly and loudly say. "It to big Mommy" he reply's. "What is to big?" "Sock to big".
I did not reach in and pulled out the one sock that was still in the toilet (GROSS). "Socks go in the hamper Kaleb, not in the potty" I try very calmly to explain. "H'ammer to big Mommy, sock in the potty gone gone". With those huge brown eyes looking at me, what was I suppose to say. As Bo came down the hall, I said tell Daddy what happened. He proceeded to tell Bo and all we could do was laugh.
I did not have visions of having to pull the toilet out of the floor again but I think that the sock is now in the ocean somewhere.
What about you and your children......Did you have a Not Me Monday? o a "Not My Child"
Laboring With You,
Doula Mama Pam

I remember things like that NOT happening to me when my kids were little.
One of my boys flushed a plastic wrench down the toilet...not good!
Great post, Kim
LOL That "Uh Oh" kills me every time! I can't help but laugh when my little guy looks at me and quietly says it!
One time we lost one of those little thin baby washcloths down the bathtub drain. Actually, I think we did twice! I can relate! ;)
